New York, NY -(July 16th 2009) -TextGuard, Inc, (www.textguard.com) today announces TextGuard For Blackberry and Textguard For Windows Mobile, a software application for mobile devices that monitors and archives and monitors SMS text conversations within an organization. TextGuard secures, manages and coordinates mobile communication and devices, providing archiving capabilities on a secured server remotely accessible by a Compliance Officer or Administrator.

Over the past several years, electronic communication compliance monitoring has become mandatory in financial, banking, healthcare, and other secure sectors. Regulators such as the SEC (Securities Exchange Commission), FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority), FSA (Financial Services Authority), and laws such as HIPPA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) now require a form of electronic message archiving and monitoring for corporations in these industries.

TextGuard is a comprehensive sensitive information security solution available for electronic communication compliance regulated industries. The software allows enterprises to monitor and log the SMS and Pin-To-Pin communications in and out of a corporation’s mobile device fleet. The archiving capability allows all messages to be archived, and enables the authorized user to access and search the messaging archives from anywhere in the world via a secured platform.
Search and alerting options include keywords, content, sender, and more, and can be customized for each corporation’s needs. TextGuard offers administrators the option of monitoring an employee's communications, which prevents loss of corporate data when a mobile device is lost or stolen, or an employee is terminated.
TextGuard has two components: a server component and a client component. The client component is installed on the individual mobile device, whereas the server program is either a hosted solution (SAAS), or can be installed on corporate premises. The software applies an overall enterprise-wide information security regimen to all the smartphones in the organization, as well as applies control to the smartphone device itself. TextGuard provides encryption service for the logs being transmitted from the device to the secured TextGuard server. Messages use 128bit encryption from the device to the TextGuard Web application.
TextGuard currently supports RIM Blackberry and Windows Mobile, and the Fall release will include the Android operating system. The Mobile Compliance Solution is designed to work with any mobile carrier and soon all major mobile device manufacturers.
